God Hears Pleas of the Innocent

is the title of an album by the greatest band ever, Killdozer (Touch & Go, 1995). By the way… (a x-post from slackbastard?)

Jew-hating Doctor Jim Saleam is innocent!* Or so he reckons. He also reckons to have been battling to have his conviction for his role in a shotgun attack upon ANC representative Eddie Funde in 1989 overturned on the basis of an alleged conspiracy by the state to silence him and his then party, National Action.

Neo-Nazi serial killers have final charge dropped

John Bunting and Robert Wagner, former members of Australia First fuhrer Jim Saleam’s defunct National Action group, have had their final Snowtown murder charge dropped.

Their life sentences for 11 and 10 of the Snowtown murders respectively are unaffected.

Threats? What threats?

Intensely curious at what type of threats the Macquarie University administration may have received from the supporters of Drew Fraser, FDB has decided to compile a nice page of threats issued to us by various neo-Nazi and white nationalist groups.

You can check them all out here.

This is by no means an exhaustive list and it will be updated regularly.

The Space Wizard fails to get his speaker

It has come as no surprise that Drew Fraser has been adopted by the racist right as their new poster boy. The lads on the world’s biggest white supremacist web forum, Stormfront are already talking up ways in which the professor can be utilised for their cause.

The jockeying for the professor’s patronage amongst the Australian lunar right has begun in earnest.

Redwatch Downunder

Fear, intimidation and violence are the stock-standard weapons in the far-right arsenal.

For a number of years, anti-racist advocates in the United Kingdom have been subject to a vicious campaign of intimidation and harassment at the hands of a collaborative web project entitled Redwatch.

Redwatch takes its name from the standard thick-headed far-right presumption that anyone with the nerve to oppose their racist agenda must be a Communist or at the very least, a Liberal Democrats voter.

Redwatch breaches privacy laws by posting photographs, names and addresses of anti-racist activists and encourages its readers to pay the said activists “a visit.”

It works off the slogan, “Remember places, traitors’ faces, they’ll all pay for their crimes.”

As a result of having their details posted on these pages, a number of British anti-racists have been physically attacked and suffered damage to their property and countless thousands have found themselves on the end of numerous phone, verbal and written threats.

People like this collection of mums and dads from Lancashire.

Simon Sheppard, the owner of Redwatch was raided by the police last month and it now finally looks like this site will be shut down, irrespective of its hosting status on an American server.

Despite the obvious legal headaches of embarking on a campaign like this, there are still a number of far-right activists in our part of the world who are very much drawn to the idea of posting up the photos and personal details of anti-racist advocates.

PYL President “not rally involved to much anymore.”

A recent communication between Patriotic Youth League president Stuart McBeth of Newcastle and a journalism student from Queensland indicates that we may have more high profile people dropping out of the Australasian nationalist scene.

When approached by the student journo for some comments on the status of his organisation, McBeth replied:

“I am not rally involved to much anymore (sic). i have forwared your request onto PYL media rep Luke. he will reply soon.”

Luke Connors of Melbourne seems to be one of the few active PYL members left. A brief perusal of their official site shows that long-time member and 2IC, Andrew Wilson is no longer the official Sydney representative of the group.

“Darren”, another known Sydney member is listed as the local rep though Darren has also entered into communication with FDB to inform us that he is “no longer active with any group.”

It all begs the question of just who is running the PYL? Since being run out of Sydney and Newcastle in January of this year, these guys have been very quiet.

Is Jim Saleam’s youth group laying low whilst the heat is on or have they gone the way of the New Zealand National Front?

Jim Saleam weighs in

I think we need to investigate this Jim Saleam character a bit further. You know, seeing as he has been emailing me and getting his PYL troopers to stuff shit in my letterbox. Not my inbox, my actual letterbox.

Andrew West writing in the Herald back in February describes Saleam as follows:

In the 1980s and 1990s, Jim Saleam wore a paramilitary uniform, invaded church services to preach his brand of anti-immigrant, white separatist politics and went to jail for a shotgun attack on an African leader.

He was the public face of the far-right group National Action.

Read the whole article. Also see here and here for some more background if you feel extra keen.

The important bits to note are that he spent three and a half years in the big house for his involvement in the attempted shooting of the Australian representative of the African National Congress back in 1989. He has also been involved in numerous fire-bombings, bashings and a number of fraud cases. His enemies on the lunar right call him the “sand nigger” or “Jamal Saleam” due his supposed Lebanese/Turkish heritage. Some claim his father was Lebanese and his mum was a pom, some even suggest he’s a Cypriot.

Even though his criminal record is longer than John Holmes’ shlong, Saleam insists that he was framed on every occasion. He also denies any serious involvement with the overtly neo-Nazi National Action and claims that he was merely trying to infiltrate the group. He now accuses his former friends on the extreme right of doctoring up old images of him and making them look like he is wearing a Nazi uniform, complete with swastika. What’s his next excuse? “The only reason I firebombed the leftie book shop was because it was already on fire so I tried putting it out with petrol.”

Plenty of people have emailed me to pass on various tidbits of Saleam-lore and anecdote. The most poignant simply reads, “I had the displeasure of meeting this nut a couple of times about 6 years ago, a very sad and twisted individual indeed. A sick, lonely old man, who lives on Centrelink, yet believes he is part of the elite ruling race.”
