Toben to face contempt charges

From the AJN:

Holocaust denier to face charges
PETER KOHN

HOLOCAUST-DENIER Dr Frederick Toben will likely be charged with contempt of court later this week for continuing to deny the Holocaust on his Adelaide Institute website.

The AJN understands Dr Toben returned to Australia this week from Iran, where he attended a state-sponsored conference on Holocaust denial late last month. The conference had the support of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel’s destruction.

Kerry and the Holocaust Deniers

As the Adelaide Institute has been featured on FDB recently, we decided to take another look at what they get up to. The Adelaide Institute don’t feature much here, they’re basically a collection of dull old men who like to babble on about how the Holocaust never happened. A subject common amongst those on the far right. We had a look at their website and who should still have a series of articles on there but yet another dull old Holocaust denier - Kerry Bolton .

Australia well represented at Holocaust conference

From the Oz:

Second Aussie joins Holocaust denial conference
Pia Akerman and Richard Sproull
December 14, 2006

AN electrical engineer who works for federal agency Airservices Australia has told a revisionist Holocaust conference in Iran there were no mass killings at Treblinka, one of the Nazis’ most notorious concentration camps.
Richard Krege, who is on annual leave from the Canberra-based agency, said that only 5000 people died at Treblinka, from disease, and used his own model of the concentration camp to illustrate his claims.

Most historians believe that at least 800,000 prisoners were murdered in the camp, which was in Poland during World War II.

Aussie Anti-Semite Abroad

From the Aus:

Holocaust impossible, says Aussie in Tehran
Pia Akerman
December 12, 2006

FREDERICK Toben - the retired Adelaide high school teacher who denies the Holocaust took place - has dismissed as “mere puffery” historical evidence proving mass killings of Jews by the Nazis’ deadly Zyklon-B gas during a speech in Tehran last night.

In his presentation, obtained by The Australian and denounced as obscene anti-Semitism by Jewish leaders, Dr Toben called “claims made by ‘Holocaust’ believers” about the mass gassings and burnings a “physical impossibility”. Dr Toben is an amateur historian who set up the Adelaide Institute in 1994 to pursue his cause. He spent seven months in a German prison in 1999 for inciting racism.

He is a keynote speaker at a two-day conference in Iran, at the invitation of the Iranian Government, which has drawn speakers from around the world including David Duke, a former imperial wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, and French professor Robert Faurisson, who denies the existence of Nazi gas chambers.

Toben defies court

From the Sunday Mail:

Race-hate site defies court
December 03, 2006

A RACE-HATE website operating from Adelaide has sparked a furious reaction from Australia’s top Jewish body.

The Executive Council of Australian Jewry is considering further legal action against Dr Fredrick Toben, 62, from Wattle Park, who runs the Adelaide Institute website.

Dr Toben was the subject of a Federal Court directive in 2002 preventing the publication of material that vilified Jews.

Despite the court ordering him to remove such material from his website, anti-Jewish articles are still accessible from the site.

Fraser: Not even trying to pretend anymore.

We read a lot of racist crap here at FDB. Like, a lot.

Like, heaps.

Why?

So that you don’t have to, gentle reader.

One of the worst things that we have to read, though, is the emails from the Adelaide Institute mailing list.

It’s not that they’re any more messed up than anything else we read… it’s just that they wrap their anti-semitism up in a thick layer of freaking boring rhetoric… and there’s just so much of it. We get somewhere between 2 to 7 long emails from these jackanapes a day… and they’re always saying the same thing:

The Holocaust never happened (p.s. the Jooos are evil and run the world!).

The Adelaide Institute is cunning, though! In an effort to hide their true agenda, they hide their anti-semitism beneath a cloud of blatant anti-semitism.

Kerry Bolton versus Mrs I B of Fielding

The email has been busy with people sending in responses to the Nazi Party graphic that Bolton has been using to illustrate posters and leaflets for his assorted “nationalist” groups. Thanks to all those who sent stuff in. One that we knew about was the Renaissance Press catalogue on the website of the National Socialist Movement (USA).

The National Front, Renaissance Press and Nazi propaganda

The NF says it bans Nazis from its ranks, but seems perfectly comfortable for a prominent member, who until recently was National Secretary, to use an openly Nazi organisation to promote his books. It’s not like it is some old remnant of Kerry’s dodgy past; the booklist has been updated in the last couple of months or so. For a start, the name “Kerry Bolton” has been removed from the Renaissance Press address, although the PO Box given is still the same as that used by the NF. Then there is the cute “disclaimer”, which says that the books are now there for students who can “exercise maturity and rational judgement”. That counts the majority of NF members out then. It looks like all the Nazi, fascist, satanist and corporatist books
are all still there though.

Hang on a minute, did someone say “corporatist”? That’s right; when Bolton was National Secretary he claimed that the NF was opposed to a corporate State, but then he continues to sell books promoting the idea. He promoted the idea of the corporate State when he was running the Fascist Union too. It appears that with every group he is involved in he just recycles the same graphics, general ideas and flags, with some slight variations. Seems he is yet to make up his mind as to whether corporate is good or bad. These days when we hear the word “corporate” we tend to associate it with ‘Big Business’. The original idea of the Corporate State was a bit different though.
