Stormfront Down Under on Tamworth: Not. Happy. Adolf.

Racist twats on Stormfront Down Under are positively fuming over Tamworth Council’s recent (8:1) reversal (January 16) of an earlier (6:3) decision (December 12, 2006) to oppose the presence of Sudanese refugees in the town, the initial decision arising partly on the basis of Mayor James Treloar’s designation of the refugees as being anti-social, disease-ridden criminals: as it happens, a description of the general character of ‘blacks’ not terribly dissimilar to that constantly reiterated on Florida businessman Don Black’s site.

One pseudonymous member, ‘Aquila Audax’, is vewy upset, and has left a very personal message for the Mayor: “YOU SPINELESS GUTLESS USELESS VILE UN-AUSTRALIAN FILTH”. Another, ‘Standarten’, accuses the Mayor and the other “treasonous” councillors who joined him in reversing the decision as having “committed an act of Genocide against the white population of Tamworth”. (He also describes Tamworth’s Catholic parish priest Father Richard Gleeson (St Nicholas) as being a “piece of filth” for supporting the presence of Sudanese refugees in the town.)

THE Mayor of Tamworth has backed down from his declaration to keep Sudanese refugees out of the country music capital and called for the city to open its arms.

But he sidestepped a call to make a public apology for saying their presence could result in a “Cronulla riots-type situation”.

Last night the Tamworth Regional Council voted eight to one to overturn an earlier decision to reject the refugee families. It decided to accept them for a trial period.

HOLOCAUST revisionist Frederick Toben is unable to find a lawyer to defend him against allegations he has raised “serious doubt” about the Holocaust on his Adelaide Institute website.

In a subpoena served on Monday night, Jeremy Jones - the former president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry - asked the Federal Court to jail Dr Toben for breaching four-year-old court orders because his website suggests “it is unlikely that there were homicidal gas chambers at Auschwitz”.

Mr Jones also alleges the website imputes that Jewish people who were offended by Holocaust denial or challenged Dr Toben’s theories were “of limited intelligence”.

Refugees tell a tale of two cities

TWO rural cities in Queensland and New South Wales have provided very different receptions for refugees from war-torn countries.

While Toowoomba residents have welcomed thousands of refugees, the country music capital of Tamworth has been labelled racist after the council on December 12 voted against a one-year trial resettlement of five Sudanese families.

Tamworth last night rescinded the decision, with the council voting 8-1 to become a refugee resettlement centre with services to be delivered by local organisations.

Further north in Toowoomba, refugees from Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and other war-torn countries have been accepted, despite the city’s reputation as a stronghold of conservatism.

Toben to face contempt charges

Holocaust denier to face charges

HOLOCAUST-DENIER Dr Frederick Toben will likely be charged with contempt of court later this week for continuing to deny the Holocaust on his Adelaide Institute website.

The AJN understands Dr Toben returned to Australia this week from Iran, where he attended a state-sponsored conference on Holocaust denial late last month. The conference had the support of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel’s destruction.

Maori Battalion honoured in Italy

Gisborne members of the Maori Battalion and their families were honoured with a special emissary from Faenza, a small town in Italy, to mark the 62nd anniversary of Faenza’s liberation from the Nazis.

The NZ Division and the Maori Battalion share an intimate history with the people of this small northern Italian town, an hour from Bologna.

In December, 1944, the Maori Battalion played a part in the liberation of the city. A strong relationship was formed and has been cemented over the years, culminating in a tour there in 1999 of 160 Maori from the East Coast/Gisborne region.

Far-right parties deregistered

A few far-right parties (amongst other minority parties) have just been de-registered by the Australian Electoral Commission on account of their names being too similar to other parties.

Oh dear. Here they are:

The CEC is the political wing of the local arm of the Lyndon Larouche ‘juggernaut’. It would be highly improper to accuse them of impropriety, but this mob is dodgy as in terms of their fund-raising and recruitment. Oh, and they’re an anti-semitic personality cult.

One Nation Queensland Division & One Nation Western Australia

Never fear - their policies live on in the Howard government. (Latte, anyone?)

New Country Party

A splinter group formed out of WA One Nation, which was caught up in controversy over its webmaster’s racist views.

And The Great Australians.

This was a weird mob. TGA was the political wing of Austand, “Australia‘s foremost independent political research organisation”… and an extremist group that believed the Treasury Department was attempting to sabotage Australia on the orders of the IMF and the WTO. TGA was formed in response to infighting within One Nation, and eventually merged with a number of One Nation offshoots.

One of their senior members was Bevan O’Regan - formerly of Australians Against Further Immigration and One Nation - who managed to divide his time between TGA and the anti-semitic Australian League of Rights with aplomb and panache. Their chairman, John Cumming, was the bloke who came up with Pauline Hanson’s infamous 2% Easy Tax - an economic policy which he incorporated into TGA.

They’ll all be missed.

Just over a year since the racially motivated Cronulla riots, 15 Lebanese teenagers are close to becoming qualified surf lifesavers.

But some need swimwear that fits their faith.

By the end of summer the group of young Lebanese Muslims could be passing the gruelling first aid and fitness tests to earn their bronze lifesaving medallions.

A few years back the leader of the National Alliance, a US-based neo-Nazi group, kicked the bucket. A battle for the leadership of the group (and, it would follow, control of NA’s impressive finances) commenced and when the dust had settled there emerged a new group - National Vanguard.

We’ve discussed National Vanguard on this website in the past, because Australian neo-Nazis seem to love it, despite it’s unsavoury connections to bank robberies, arsons, bombings, planned highway destructions, and murder.

Drew Fraser used articles (by another Australian white nationalist dropkick, Ben Weerheym) from NV as sources in some of his work, and more recently it was revealed in The Australian that Australia First’s Cronulla candidate John Moffat had waxed lyrical about the threats to the white race on their site.

It is in this vein that we bring you yet another despicable act that antipodean fash associate themselves with when they associate themselves with NV:
