1, 2, 3, 4 - Fascists are not welcome in Fitzroy and Collingwood, Gary, and you will be held accountable for bringing them here.
On Saturday arvo, as promised, somewhere between 100 and 150 antifa took to the streets of Fitzroy - The corner of Smith and Johnston, to be specific - to Speak Out Against Racism.
As FightDemBack uncovered, the local branches of Blood & Honour and the Hammerskin Nation held a (not-so-)secret White Power gig at the Birmingham Hotel on the 23rd of September. On that night, seven racists surrounded a girl walking to her car on Johnston St and racially abused her in typical bonehead fashion.
The ultimate responsibility for this specific attack rests with the boneheads in question, but Gary (the owner of the Birmy) is responsible for knowingly bringing the bones into the community. This is the second year in a row that they have had their gig there, and he has allowed them to hold gigs there in years previous - including a Hitler’s birthday gig a few years back.
Gary is not an idiot in the traditional sense of the word. He knows what boneheads do for ‘fun’, but his priorities put the love of money above the safety of the community.

Gary gets a bit shirty with protesters.
Gary reckons he can’t control who walks into his pub (though other Melbourne pubs have established anti-Nazi policies) but it is his decision to bring them into Fitzroy and Collingwood en masse, and he needs to understand that this was a BAD decision.
Melbourne anti-racists will be assisting Gary in coming to that understanding. It is possible that diagrams will be required.
A highlight of the day for FDB was seeing Patrick “The Human Urinal” O’Sullivan skulking up Johnston St and sizing up the protest for about a minute… before turning on his heels and running home. Nice patches, Partytrick.
