Yep, it’s on again and over the next few weeks we’ll be periodically sniping away at Jim Saleam’s Sydney Forum 2006. You’ll all remember the fun and games we had last year and this year promises to be much the same …with several very interesting twists. Yeah baby, we’re preparing to launch the soap opera of the year on the Aussie racist-right and tickets to the studio audience are free of charge.
Jim actually pulled a slight surprise out of the bag this year by managing to secure the Syrian Ambassador to Australia for this year’s speakers list. See, in white supremacist terms - Arabs are tolerable if you’re using them a smokescreen for the promotion of anti-Semitism.

The Ambassador will speak on the Syrian position on the war in Lebanon, the resolution of the Palestine question, Israel and related issues. This is a special opportunity for Australians to obtain a direct view on the crisis of the region. The Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic will provide useful materials for the audience. Questions will be answered. It is the view of the Sydney Forum that no Australian soldiers should be employed in the Middle East in roles that inevitably serve Zionism and the American agenda. Perhaps the views of Syria deserve real consideration in defining these issues.
Naturally, Jim’s decision to invite someone sort of Lebanese to this event raised a few heckles on Scumfront
Of course, here at FDB our nefarious tentacles range far and wide and sure enough, we have within our ranks a couple of native Arabic speakers who actually know the Syrian Ambassador personally. They contacted him and discussed issues like Jim Saleam and Australia First being responsible for promoting a hell of a lot of anti-Arab, anti-Muslim sentiment (especially in the wake of the Cronulla riots) and also casually mentioned Lachlan Black’s anti-Islamic diatribe from last year’s forum and also provided a few choice Scumfront quotes from Australia First’s Sutherland Shire rep and Crusader reincarnate Darrin “Gargamel” Hodges.
The long and short of it is that the Ambassador has cancelled his engagement.
