Racism raises its ugly head with pamphlet

By Kate McIntoshTHE ugly spectre of racism has again surfaced this week in Toowoomba.
A racist pamphlet titled “Toowoomba is Under Attack!” delivered to letterboxes across the city this week outlines a “programme for action,” detailing strategies to curb a purported refugee “invasion” to the city.
Educating school children and overthrowing Toowoomba City Council are among the strategies detailed.
The pamphlet, an extract from a web article of the same name linked to the Australia First Party website, denounces local council, media, church and government groups for their “pro-refugee” stance.
Toowoomba Social Justice Commission executive officer Mark Copland expressed disgust at the content contained in the pamphlet, saying it resembled attitudes more in line with the 1800s than the 21st century.
He said commission chairman, barrister Dan Toombs was currently reviewing legal options if the material was disseminated in the wider community.
Although disappointed to see the racist actions of a few tarnish the cityÃs reputation once more, Mr Copland said the attitudes were in no way reflective of the wider community.
“Every day I witness extraordinary welcome and compassion shown by members of the wider Toowoomba community towards newly arrived refugees,” he said “We can be proud of what we are achieving in Toowoomba. We donÃt need big city Cronulla beach-style racism in this part of the world.”
This latest incident follows the distribution of racially offensive material in the city last year.
A spokeswoman for the Australian Electoral Commission said the Australia First Party had been deregistered in 1994 for failing to contest a federal election in four years.
However, Australia First has indicated it plans to re-register this year.
The spokeswoman said the Commission was not responsible for the policies or ideologies of political parties. To be eligible for registration political parties were required to disclose their funding sources and must have a minimum legitimate membership base of at least 500.
There you have it… And who is doing the distributing of said material? Gee, it wouldn’t be our old mate Jim Perren would it?
Our sources put Jim right in the sticky middle of this creamy bun of hate - and boys, they’re a hell of a lot more sophisticated than a dickhead with a tape recorder in his pocket.
Jim Perren (a member of the WPCA and also known to hang with guys in hoods and burn crosses) distributing Australia First material, huh? Gee, he’d have to be an Australia First member as well to do that, wouldn’t ya think?
It boggles the mind, to be honest.
We at FDB have been a bit confused lately in regards to the exact nature of the relationship between the Australia First Party, who publicly deny that they are neo-Nazis (but prove themselves liars at every given opportunity), and the White Pride Coalition of Australia, who are an openly neo-Nazi collective with strong links to terrorist organisations (i.e. The World Church of the Creator and the Australian Nationalist Movement).
We thought we’d go back through their collective archives and see what they thought of each other.
In July 2003, senior AF figure Jim Saleam commented, inre: The WPCA:
“This group seems to function as an umbrella for assorted neo-nazi grouplets, including [David "Space Wizard"] Palmer’s immediate circle.”
He also stated that they “must be repudiated by all nationalist and patriotic people.”
It sounds a bit like he doesn’t like them much.
In December 2003, Saleam described the WPCA as a “neo-nazi provocateur gang,” and referred to the WPCA’s fuhrer Peter Campbell (aka Kromlek of Asgard) as a “neo-nutzi liar.”
In December 2004, Saleam described the WPCA as “true rats,” for not attempting to assist Jack van Tongeren in his legal battles
In 2004, he also published a lengthy article (since removed, sadly, but saved for posterity on the FDB forum.) on his website in which he referred to WPCA Queensland member Carl Thompson as attempting “to pollute, twist and corrupt some youth away from any nationalist road - and into the dead-end of neo-nutzism.”
The article also made a number of allegations regarding Thompson’s Johnson, which caused Thompson to remark that Saleam appeared to have an obsession with the length of his penis.
From this, I think it is safe to assume that Saleam was well aware that the WPCA were an openly neo-Nazi group, and as such, he wanted to make it perfectly clear that he thought they were scum.
The feeling was mutual.
In December 2004, Peter Campbell waxed rather lyrical on the subject of Dokter Jim. The Highlights:
“One must marvel at the sheer persistence of the “good doctorâ€?, who has maintained his blind hatred of ANY competition in Nationalist politics with an intensity bordering on the pathologically obsessive. Doctor Jim Saleam has persisted in his peculiar behaviour for decades now but recently his eccentricities have taken him and his motley faction of misfits totally beyond the pale of Human decency.

During this critical nexus point in White Human Nationalist History the inertia his lunatic fringe creates is a dead weight we can no longer afford to carry. If he is not isolated and jettisoned like the malignant ballast he is, then he will surely drag The White Cause down. His posture of revolution through appeasement and inaction is ludicrous in the extreme. How can ANY progress be made along the road to White salvation if ALL activity of any sort must be subordinate to HIS individual political manifesto? Put simply, if YOU don’t work for Jim Saleam then you are his enemy and must therefore be eliminated, usually by having your details provided to the authorities and being “fitted up� for some stunt.

A rampant ego when coupled with an inferiority complex is a dangerous thing and Doctor Saleam has both in spades. His Napoleon complex is legendary in the movement in direct inverse proportion to his achievements, both political and romantic. The stories abound of his unrequited loves. Many are the female objects of his carnal desire that spurned his affections due to his general sleaziness and reportedly undersize genitalia. Also he quite obviously has a chip on his shoulder born from his mixed ethnicity, which surely drives him mad.
All these surreal antics of course would be hysterically funny, were it not for the fact that Dr. Saleam’s peculiar paranoid political psychosis has serious implications. He has landed many people in gaol over the years, including himself TWICE! Also other real White Nationalists have suffered actual physical beatings delivered by members of his ever changing goon squad as well as vandalism on their commercial and private property. This has exacted a huge toll the White Nationalist Movement of Australia and it is high time this handbrake on our progress was removed.
To sum up this article with a crude old quotation as a warning to the naïve and ill prepared:
If bullshit were music he would be a brass band!”

In February 2005, derogatory references to the WPCA appeared on the Patriotic Youth League’s website. (The PYL being the youth branch of AF)

“Everyone in this place should look at the PYL’s site … The way in which the PYL refers to the WPCA should remove any doubt (if there ever was any) that the PYL is just another manifestation of Saleam. The references to the WPCA read as though they could have been penned by Saleam himself. I believe that the sky is beginning to fall for the leaders of the PYL, in terms of job losses and other problems. Eventually they may overcome their youthful naivety and identify the source of their misery.

“From my observation of the site I found the following things - it is poorly designed, the spelling and grammar is terrible in places, and they seem to go on about nothing more than not being called racist nazis. It has Saleam’s seal of approval all over it. They will end up as nought.”

It’s good to see that they’ve finally managed to move past all that… Actually, they moved past all that in March of 2005 when Peter Campbell and Jim Saleam sat down for a quiet beer and worked out their differences.
With the benefit of hindsight, that was probably Campbell’s biggest mistake - besides thinking he had the steel cojones required to take FDB on and win. (Not that we are raging egomaniacs!) The kid should have taken his own advice.
