ANZAC Day is upon us once more and with it FDB’s first birthday.

There is good reason why we chose April 25th as our launch date, the least of which being that we are an organistion that constitutes New Zealanders and Australians coming together to fight the modern day manifestations of the same poisonous ideologies that our forebears fought against.

That and well, we were sick to death of a bunch of racist twats claiming Anzac Day as their own. Granted, they weren’t/aren’t very successful at it and most Aussies and Kiwis do commemorate the day in the spirit to which it is intended. Still it pays to keep watch.

Last ANZAC Day we highlighted reports of the NZ National Front planning to hijack dawn service. The NZ RSA came out swinging and let it be known in no uncertain terms, that the fash would not be welcome.

RSA chief executive Pat Herbert has received emails from members who were angry and upset that the neo-fascist organisation would attend Anzac ceremonies.

“The RSA would be obviously appalled and it would disgust most New Zealanders. New Zealand does not need groups like these,” Herbert said.

The RSA could not stop National Front members attending services but “they certainly will not be welcomed if they come flying their colours”.

Herbert said the National Front represented everything Anzac soldiers had fought against.

That says it all basically.

We get tired of saying this but seen as the fash don’t seem to get it, we’ll just keep at it.

Australian and New Zealand soldiers fought AGAINST the Nazis!

These SF clowns remind us of the demented old Ustashe living in Melbourne who wanted to march in the ANZAC Day parade. He was all decked up in Nazi memorabilia (and full of rakija) when his daughter informed him that he actually fought on the other side.

There are numerous other reasons why white supremacists in general have no place commemorating ANZAC Day. Of course, the general ethnic make-up of the Anzac forces at Gallipoli consisted of Indians, Ghurkas, Australian Aboriginals and Maori AND get this; the most successful aspect of the Gallipoli campaign (the withdrawal) was overseen by A JEW!

Oh, and in closing, who could forget Scumfront’s adulation of Billy Sing, the Anzac’s most lethal sniper at Gallipoli.

Funny how the adulation stopped dead and crickets began a chirping when they discovered Billy was of Chinese origin.
