Some strange stuff went down in the wake of the Cronulla riots. As the police raided a number of far-right folk across Sydney we found ourselves at the nexus of an incredible superhighway of Aussie Nazi paranoia.

Ie, certain people were not shy in coming to us and claiming that whilst they themselves haven’t been up to anything naughty, they know who has and they’re prepared to dob on them too!

One of the stranger cases came from James Newman. The “video guy” from the Cronulla riots. Remember? He copped this nasty surprise in the Tele.

A few days after that article appeared, James decided that he wanted to talk to us and offer information on his comrades in exchange for not printing any further articles about him. He assured us he has learnt his lesson and was done with “the scene”.

Sigh.

It’s a pity James had a second change of heart and decided to get back into “the scene”. See, James was one of the extra special helpers who organised that big Blood and Honour gig in Newcastle last month. He even gets a shout-out on the post-gig email.

In light of James reneging on his end of the deal, we hereby produce a selection of the emails he sent us when he was preparing to leave the dark side. We’re sure his mates in “the scene” will find them interesting reading:

Well - it’s all perspective isn’t it. I’m presuming you’re thinking upon me as the Jedi and you as the former Sith. But ..your worldview would have been fairly conditioned to view this juxtapositionally, ie you as the Jedi warrior good guys and us as the baddies.

Now it’s hard for me to believe that what with Kram B getting pissed and logging onto the net at all hours to repeatedly remind me that “FDB HAVE NOT broken JN, JN is still a brother, WHITE POWER, WHITE POWER, WHITE POWER!”

Despite Mark’s views being towards the absolute extreme of what we deal with, going through all my emails with the guy I really can’t detect any bald-faced lies. I can see where other people (namely yourself) have fed him bullshit and he has believed it and passed it on. On the whole though, he does seem to have this “honour amongst thieves” thing running with me. So if he says you’re still in - and you say you’re not (and you have a record of not telling the truth).

The Star wars thing was not so much racial purity as it was “Stormtroopers” and come on, The imperial officers wore knee high ” Riding boots” in space mate, If lucas was not trying to imatate a certain bunch of people I dont know what he was thinking.

Completely off topic I loved that british show ” Spaced” were they came up with the theory the Empire could have won the whole thing in the first movie( Being episode IV) if the Imerial gunner had of fired on the escape pod launched from the princesses ship containing R2d2 and C3po.
