…but I get up again

You aint ever going to keep us down.

We’re online/we’re offline, online/offline, on/off, on/off etc.

It has been that way for the last four days hasn’t it?

After much deliberation and consultation with our members, supporters and silent partners in Burberry coats we have decided to clear the air.

Contrary to what the net-Nazis would have you believe, we didn’t go down for being “ZOG purveyors of porn”- we were, yet again, DDoS attacked.

We copped two solid hits over the weekend on our old host and one more this evening with our new hosts. Matter of fact, we’d only been back online a matter of hours with our new Canadian buddies when the fash decided it was time to have a crack.

Nazis can’t defend their position with truth or logic, but they’re happy to break the attack upon computing facilities laws of at least three countries to shut down our website for a couple days. Well, that sure didn’t last long.

It’s standard fascist logic - silence all effective opposition by whatever foul means at one’s disposal. A brutal, yet clumsy DDoS attack is basically the IT equivalent of a skinhead boot boy kickfest. Difference here is that the fash will never be able to kick us hard enough that we don’t get back on our feet and bitchslap them straight back.

The hosting service FDB were using was affected enough by the DDoS attack that the host breached their service contract with us and shut down the FDB account. Clearly, we had a bunch of girl’s blouses for webhosts. That’s been fixed. FDB’s webhosting is now, how shall we say, a bit more prepared.

Sure, bulletproof hosting costs a bit more than we were paying the cheap and nasties (about 400% more), but you shouldn’t see us down again anytime soon and if you do, rest assured we’ll be up again quick smart. Always remember the fallback to the blog plan if we’re down for more than a few hours.

Supporters of FDB anti-racist activism in general are invited to click the PayPal button every now and again.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance- and about $1.50 a day.

Update

Within half an hour of posting this article, we copped our second DDoS attack with our new hosts. That makes it four attacks in four days. Boy do we feel special!

Update II

…And before the evening was out we were hit two more times with multiple-gigabyte-per-second data assaults. Rackforce soldiered on regardless- and the data-mining has started in earnest to track down the perps.
