A small group of neo-Nazis seeking to inflame tensions and incite violence in Cronulla via a concerted internet campaign prior to the event, via a postering and leafleting campaign combined with mob tactics on the day and via a concerted internet campaign following on from the event.

JN was hanging with the loosely affiliated Central Coast/Newcastle Skinhead crew. They don’t really have a name as such but all members do have Blood and Honour affiliation. What business people from Newcastle and the Central Coast have in saying who is and who isn’t welcome in the Shire is anyone’s guess.
The Australia First Party/Patriotic Youth League were there leafleting like crazy. Their leader and former jailbird Jim Saleam declaring the events in Cronulla as the beginning of the “revolution” for the master race over the Lebanese.
This is highly ironic considering that “Saleam” is most certainly an Arabic name and a fair proportion of Australia’s White Nationalist community believe Jim to be of either Lebanese or Turkish descent. Jim claims his heritage is “Orthodox”. Well, there are Lebanese Orthodox people as well as the Greeks.
The NSW Premier Morris Iemma, Police Minister Carl Scully and Police Commissioner Ken Moroney have all declared their strong intent to hunt down and prosecute all those who played a part in inflaming racial tensions and violence at Cronulla on the weekend. And yes, they’ll also be hunting down the gutless thugs who partook in the violently pointless reprisals in Maroubra and Brighton Le Sands last night as well.
The community of the Sutherland Shire and the adjoining Lebanese community of Bankstown and Lakemba have some issues to work through.
The Neo-Nazis who partook in yesterdays action do not want to see anything worked through or anything resolved. They wish only for continuing violence and continuing conflict.
