Fans of the cartoon Scooby Doo are going to love this, but racists will hate it. The woman in this photograph is One Nation’s east metropolitan regional president and 2005 State election candidate Sue Bateman.

Like anyone in the game of politics, Sue loves to express her views and opinions on everything from the definition of racism to the sale of Telstra.

To get her message out far and wide Sue posts her beliefs on her personal One Nation website and on various internet forums under the pseudonym “suebdoo2�. But when confronted by Inside Cover yesterday, the would-be politician turned a straight forward case of whodunit into the sort of spooky mystery Shaggy and Scooby would quiver over.

IC: Do you post messages on the White Pride racist website called Stormfront?

Sue: No. Where did you get this from?

Readers, we’ll start where every classic yarn starts, at the beginning.

On the WA One Nation website Sue’s email address is suebdoo2@hotmail.com and when a concerned community member noticed the name suebdoo2 posting messages all over Stormfront — a site used by neo-nazis — alarm bells rang. Stormfront is home to the sort of people who call themselves “Jackboot” and promote the Swastika and other racist sites like muslimsout.org. One way to get to it was via Sue Bateman’s personal website courtesy of a link on her home page. But when IC asked her why she would want to lead people to such an extremist propaganda site, she was flabbergasted. “You’re joking?â€? she said. “I know nothing about this Stormfront,â€? she insisted.

IC: But there’s a suebdoo2 who lives in WA, is a woman and posts messages on it regularly?

Sue: That isn’t me.

IC moved on to coincidence number two.

IC: Do you use an image of a blue rose on your One Nation website?

Sue: That image would be available to anyone else.

IC: Because the same image accompanies every post on Stormfront by suebdoo2.

Sue: What’s this website called?

And so on we go to coincidence number three. Another website titled onlineopinion.com features a raft of postings by suebdoo2 which seem to closely mirror the views of the suebdoo2 on Stormfront. But IC didn’t tell Sue that when we asked her if she was a regular poster on any website. “I’m just an everyday person,� she said. “I communicate between friends. There is a university forum I’ve commented once or twice on.� Try 30 times in the past three months, including this on August 31. “As soon as a ‘white person’ verbally protects his culture, upon his tolerance and charity to others, he is branded a RACIST,� she wrote. “We need to be more aware than ever about what the definition of racist is in the Oxford Dictionary.�

IC: Would it be a problem for you within One Nation if the suebdoo2 on Stormfront was you?

Sue: My policy is one nation, one people. I don’t want to be tied in with that sort of thing — nazis.

Within 30 minutes of IC’s conversation with Sue, her One Nation website, complete with link to the racist Stormfront, was gone. “I’m concerned because I had a virus a couple of months ago and now it seems there’s been a security breach,� she complained. “Someone must have been muckin’ around with me bloody website.� That’s something IC discovered Sue knows plenty about. This is what she wrote in an email to the person behind a Perth website which despises racism. “I have plenty of time between three jobs and a family and I always put in the effort,� she wrote. “Now, I work this computer big time when I get a hold of it and I will return religiously to this site as well as recommend it to my associates.� Wonder which associates she’s talking about?

We won’t claim responsibility for this. Oh. Ok we will :) . We didn’t directly contact Gary Adshead, but we know who did. Oops. Did FDB just ended another a racists’ political career.?

No, not really. The racists make their own bed and facilitate the circumstances for their own downfall. This most certainly isn’t the first time a far-right politician has been brought undone by posting on Stormfront, see what happened to Doug Hanks.

We wonder if she will be able to remember attending that as well.
