In a slight backflip, Patriotic Youth League have somewhat lessened their public support for Ben Weerheym’s Redwatch Campaign.

Last week, PYL media rep Luke Connors made a supportive post on the PYL forum regarding Ben:

The australian anti free speech movement has gone after Ben the westie again. No one can deny that they boy has made mistakes but so have we all. Pay a visit to his site to get his spirits up, we all know how hard it is when the PC police get on your arse.

FDB then contacted Connors and asked him if his unqualified support of Ben Weerheym (and Redwatch) would continue in light of the fact that Ben has been posting the personal details (addresses and the like) of anti-racism activists and their parents.

Connors replied:

I am 100% against anybodys house location etc being posted in any capacity, I have noticed that you do not do this, it is a credit to you.

IF this is true then Ben is acting like an idiot and will no doubt have another visit from the police. We know where some of the FDB live and no doubt you have details on me. Posting these details is not the right way to win anyones support.

The PYL will never support the publishing of home addresses of political oppodents, let alone families of such people. Ben is a brave man who has been through a lot, however if those actions have been commited we could not endorse them.

Luke, publishing the addresses of anti-racist activist’s parents is hardly the work of a BRAVE man.

Connors continues:

Could you be so kind as to show me any saved pages you may have that demonstrate Ben posting these addresses. If we have proof of these activities we may have to reconsider future arrangements.

Listing addresses is not on, not now not ever. Even personal phone numbers are a bit iffy as people can find out home addresses from them.

I have always considered ANM to range from mildly strange to outright insane. You can quote me on that.

In the same vein there is no way you have any reason to fear physical violence from the PYL or others in our block. By now you should have figured out who the nutters with tastes for violence are.

There have been allegations that Ben posted the names and home locations of anti-free speech activists parents, I have not seen these and i strongly suspect that it is a fantasy cooked up by a red crackpot, if however this is true then Ben should remove them.

That said Ben has been through a lot, please visit his site as often as you can. A bloke thats taken as much crap as him deserves a shot to redeem himself.
